pasted-image-at-2016_09_29-03_36-pm2016 has been an eventful year, with lots of news making us happy, loads of it making us sad, and then some more that surprised us right out of our seats. And among the news of the latter category, the one with Ted Cruz took the lead. Let’s start from the very beginning:

The Endorsement:

While giving a speech at the Republican National Convention, Ted Cruz very pointedly refused to endorse Donald Trump. Two months later, and he was all for it. Needless to say, it created quite some hype on all the news channels. When the chaos died down, we all were left wondering just one thing, what made him change his mind? So the answer came from the man himself. According to Ted Cruz, he spent many days considering, praying and searching his own conscience. Apparently his conscience has been a fan of Trump because he decided to vote for him on the much awaited day of election, November the 8th.

He explained his decision for endorsement further by opening up about his pledge to himself. Apparently Cruz pledged that he will endorse a republican nominee, who happened to be Trump. So in order to stay true to his words, he decided to fulfill his pledge.

Ted Cruz’s Past:

pasted-image-at-2016_09_29-03_36-pm-1The first time we heard Cruz’s name was back in 2013; that’s the year he rose to elective office. Three years later and Cruz still holds his elected position. Cruz is serving as a Senator in the United States Senate and had also served as a Domestic Policy Advisor during Bush Presidential Campaign in the year 1999 and 2000.

What Trump has to say about Ted Cruz?

Formerly, when Ted turned down Trump’s endorsement, Trump too fired-off with “I don’t need Cruz endorsement”, but then after the endorsement, as expected, Trump couldn’t be happier to be endorsed by a very powerful name in the Senate. Or as he said verbatim “I am greatly honored by the endorsement of Senator Cruz, we have fought the battle and he was a tough and brilliant opponent. I look forward to working with him for many years to come in order to make America great again.”

Interestingly, Cruz never talks much about Donald Trump. HE talks about Clinton, he talk about republic nominee but not much about Trump at all. This leads us to assume that Cruz is more interested in the system of government rather than the person, who will be governing.

Cruz against Clinton:

Less-vocal as he has been about Trump, Cruz has got a lot to say about Hillary Clinton. Or maybe he wants to sum her up with just one word “Unacceptable”. Cruz has also been seen using Hash tag #NeverHillary very often.

So we know who is supporting Trump, we also know about all the people supporting Hillary. But believe it or not, it is not the votes of Hollywood icons or political leaders who will be able to make a change. It will all ultimately depend on every American citizen to decide who will become the president. So use that vote of yours and let your decision make a difference.
