As spring nears, baseball fans can’t help but think about how close the start of the season is. Last year we were blessed with the emerging talents of Carlos Correa and Kris Bryant. Watching both players in the playoffs last year only excited fans in what players are soon to come. In spirit of the 2016 season quickly approaching, we chose to drop a list of 5 emerging players to look for this season.

Corey Seager, SS, Dodgers: This 21 year old is being closely compared to Carlos Correa because of his skills both at the plate and on the field. The left hitting short stop made his MLB debut late last year, replacing Jimmy Rollins in the lineup.

Joey Gallo, 3B-OF, Rangers: The 22-year-old made his big league debut last year and displayed his ability to hit the long ball. Look for this 6-5 stud to make an impact in the Rangers lineup for the 2016 season.

Jose Berrios, RHP, Twins: The 21 year old has yet to make his big league appearance, but that should change in the 2016 season. Berrios led the minor leagues in strike outs last year with 175.

Josh Bell, 1B, Pirates: The 23 year old native from Texas will likely make his MLB debut this season. Although he will start the season in Class AAA, it will be tough for the team to keep him out of the lineup for long.

Daniel Norris, LHP, Tigers: Norris is a 22 year old who received a lot of hype as a top prospect until he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Now cancer free, look for Norris to crack the Tigers starting rotation this season
