PeytonIf this is it for the legend Peyton Manning, I think it is safe to say he will go down as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of the game. After playing college ball for the University of Tennessee, Manning was the first overall pick in 1998. With the Colts, he played 14 season where he led his team to eight division championships, two AFC championships, and one Super Bowl.

After experiencing issues with his neck, he went on to miss the entire 2011 season. The Colts chose to release him and go with Andrew Luck in 2012. Manning was quickly signed by the Denver Broncos. In Denver, he successfully took his took to the post season every single season. He would go to two Super Bowls, and in 2016 won his second ring.

Through it all, Manning won two Super Bowls and 5 league MVPs. He passed for over 70,000 yards and 500 TDs. He did all of this under four different coaches and two different teams. The Colts may have made the right move letting him go in 2012, but they missed out on two more Super Bowl appearances in the end. Although comparisons will be made between Manning and Brady ’til the end of time, Brady has been blessed enough to play for the same coach and under the same system his entire career. Anyway you see it, Peyton Manning has had an historic career and has done so with the utmost character and class. He will be greatly missed.
