Welcome to Sesame Street and today’s words are, “Vote for Hillary Clinton”. A person would have to be really ignorant or to be living in a hole if they are not somehow consumed with the intense battle between America’s presidential candidates that has been going on for decades, or so it seems. After months and months of campaigns, speeches, debates, fights and scandalous stories, we finally have two nominees before us; the lady Hillary Clinton and the very unusual, Donald Trump. However, this post has nothing to do with Trump; he just has a way of making unwelcomed appearances. It is all about discovering Hillary Clinton and how Hollywood might have played a huge part in helping her reach this stage of presidential candidacy.
Suspicious as it might sound, it wasn’t any conspiracy by the great minds of Hollywood. In fact, it was the Hollywood stars who individually and slowly began to favor Clinton but as the days to elections draw closer, more and more artists are speaking up for voting, and voting for Clinton. There could be many reasons behind it. A vast majority of Hillary’s supporters are women of Hollywood and the reason for their support could be attributed to Clinton’s vocal opinions on feminism. Some simply like her for her while others might be supporting her on the off chance that she might be the lesser of the two evils. Regardless of the reasons, the fact cannot be denied that some very big and influential names of Hollywood are supporting Clinton and it could even be said that they might have helped Hillary come so far. Let’s look at some of Hillary’s most devoted supporters:
Chloe Grace Moretz:
She is young but she is outspoken. From day one, Chloe has been passionately and actively supporting Hillary Clinton. In case you don’t know who she is, Chloe is an emerging Hollywood actress who has been acting since she was just 7 years old. Fame, however, came to her after her appearance in the well-known movie 500 days of Summer. From then on, she has appeared in many Hollywood blockbusters. Whether it is a social media platform or a DNC speech, Moretz uses any chance she gets to speak for the democratic leader.
The hilarious comedian and Golden Globe nominee, Amy Schumer is all for Hillary Clinton and with her horde of fans, she might have been able to change quite a few minds.
Does a name like Oprah Winfrey even need an introduction? The famous talk-show host and philanthropist has a lot to say about Hillary Clinton; “Regardless of your politics, it’s a seminal moment for women, what this says is, there is no ceiling, that ceiling just went boom! It says anything is possible when you can be leader of the free world.” Winfrey left no room for doubt by openly declaring, “I’m with her.”
Other Hollywood Stars:
The list of Hillary’s supporters in Hollywood is long and powerful. When icons like George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Martha Stewart, Ellen DeGeneres, Matt Damon and Britney Spears are supporting Hillary Clinton, we can safely say that her chances of winning look pretty good.
Now, we can only vote. Sit back and wait for November 8th to see how much Hollywood was successful in supporting Hillary Clinton.
