  • M’s house in Skyfall is the Bond Composer John Barry’s old house.
  • Only 3 Bond movies ever won an Oscar: Skyfall, Thunderball, and Goldfinger.
  • Part of the Bond series success is President John F Kennedy’s comments about it. In an interview, he told Life Magazine that one of his all time favorite novels was From Russia, With Love. After this sales boomed, and the next bond film was From Russia, With Love. It was also the last movie JFK ever saw, only a day before he left for Texas.

Both men liked coffee over tea, were commanders in the British Navy, were notorious for their love for women, liked their martinis shaken not stirred, and smoked the same kind of cigarettes. Fleming was a spy too, and was the personal assistant for Admiral John Godfrey, who sounds a lot like the muse for M.

  • The cast of Skyfall used 200,000 rounds of ammunition during weapons training for the movie.
